On Mother's Day, we honored our Moms at Yadkin Valley

with some special gifts. The oldest mother present, Mrs Peggy Hendrix, was presented a beautiful hanging basket.

There was a "tie" for the mother with the most children present. Lisa Shoemaker and Sabrina Boggess were presented beautiful

hanging baskets. Each mother had 4 children present in the service. The youngest mother, Niki Shoemaker was also presented

a beautiful hanging basket. Our pastor's wife, Mrs. Ellie Craddock was honored with a beautiful hanging basket as well. Also,

each mother in the service received a beautiful carnation. Congratulations to all our mothers on Mother's Day!!!

Congratulations to our High School Graduates:
Joshua McDaniel, graduating from Davidson Community College,
son of Michael and Jessie McDaniel, and
Amanda Riddle, graduating from Davie High School,
daughter of Lee and Pat Riddle.
On Sunday, May 17, our high school granduates were presented
with a Scofield Bible along with a Cross pen and pencil set
as a gift from Yadkin Valley Baptist Church.
Also on Sunday, May 17, our graduates and their families
were honored with a meal in the Fellowship Hall
immediately following the morning Worship Service.

The Marriage Amendment is a very important issue facing voters on May 8th.

Please exercise your right to vote on May 8th!!!

There may be some who try to confuse voters, but the simple truth is:

If you vote FOR the marriage amendment, you will be voting FOR Biblical, traditional, marriage between one man and one woman.

If you vote AGAINST the marriage amendment, you will be putting your approval on same-sex marriage.

The Congregation at Yadkin Valley Baptist received a tremendous HOMECOMING surprise today

as Mrs. Jessie McDaniel was able to return to Yadkin Valley Baptist Chruch after four months of recovering!

There was not a dry eye in the audience as Mrs. Jessie thanked everyone for their prayers and support for her

and her family over the past four months. It was amazing to have her in our worship service today and to

fellowship with her during the Homecoming Meal in the fellowship hall following the service.

Please keep Mrs. Jessie and her family in your prayers as she continues to heal. Praise God for His marvelous blessings!!!
